About VetCalc
VetCalc was built to provide free, accurate calculators for the military community. Whether you are active duty figuring out your pay, a veteran navigating the VA disability system, or a military family planning your finances, these tools are built for you.
Why VetCalc Exists
Military pay tables are buried in PDFs. VA Math is confusing. BAH rates vary by ZIP code. We built VetCalc because service members, veterans, and military families deserve simple tools that do the math for them — no more scrolling through government pay tables or guessing at combined ratings.
What We Offer
- Military Pay Calculator — Calculate your total monthly compensation including Base Pay, BAH for 338 locations, and BAS with 2026 rates.
- Military Pay After Taxes Calculator — See your net take-home pay with federal/state tax withholding, FICA, TSP, and SGLI deductions.
- VA Disability Rating Calculator — Combine multiple ratings using the official VA formula (38 CFR § 4.25), see step-by-step breakdowns, and estimate your monthly compensation.
- Military Retirement Calculator — Compare all four retirement plans (Final Pay, High-36, REDUX/CSB, and BRS) with 30-year projections and TSP growth charts.
- VA Disability + Retirement Calculator — Calculate combined military retirement and VA disability income with concurrent receipt (CRDP) rules.
- GI Bill Benefits Calculator — Estimate Post-9/11 or Montgomery GI Bill tuition, housing allowance (MHA) by zip code, and books stipend.
